Notarial Services Offered

Please keep in mind as a Public Notarial Officer, I am not allowed to help decide which notarial act should be carried out or have a say in what the document should say. Below i have attached the definition of what each service is, right after the definition, you'll find a link for the proper wording if you don't have one.

Acknowledgement: An acknowledgment is a notarial act whereby a person, at the same time and place, appears before the notary public and presents a document to be acknowledged.

Jurat(Sworn): An individual, at the same place and time, appears before the notary public and makes a vow of truthfulness or fidelity on the pain of penalty for perjury. Usually for a deposition transcript or affidavit that needs to be certified.

Oaths and Affirmations: Notaries can administer oaths, provided the oath is not an oath for office or in a military setting. An oath or affirmation is a spoken promise that you are swearing or affirming to uphold the truth of a document’s contents

Copy Certification:A copy certification occurs when a notary public is presented with a document and identical copies of the document. Except for birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates.

Witness Signature: To perform a signature witnessing, the Notary must have the signer personally appear and provide satisfactory proof of identity. The signer must then sign the document in the Notary's presence.
